I believe strongly that a friendship with the potential to become more must begin with honesty and integrity. This is the best way for me to truly get to know you and for you to get to know me. To that end I tell you some things here which are important to me as I search for a woman I would want to marry. I’m only interested in marrying someone that is a US citizen because I do not want to deal with the paperwork and time my government requires for someone who is not a US citizen. My preference is for someone raised in the US because this will mean less cultural differences and less misunderstandings. My name is Robert. I’m semi-retired with plans to retire at age 62. For most of my career I was a database programmer. In 2018 I transitioned to being a farmer and then to a dining services worker. The main reason for my career change was due to me developing carpal tunnel syndrome. I got out to ensure it didn’t get worse. As long as I don’t bend my wrists I seldom experience pain and other than that my hands and fingers are mostly functional. I served a mission in the Dominican Republic.

In May 2012 I started sailing. I bought a 21 foot sailboat in June 2015. I haven’t gone sailing since 2018 but hope to this year. Sailing is one of the activities that brings me the most peace. Since the advent of home computers I have been drawn to them and have used them in many ways. Mostly, I have used them for entertainment and currently am playing Stardew Valley. I’ve always been interested in music and when I could no longer play my accordion I made a 6 string lyre and composed my own music. I’m interested in growing my own food and various aspects of farming. As far back as I can remember I’ve always liked fantasy and science fiction books and movies. When I write stories they are either fantasy or science fiction. I like learning about different cultures and have always had an interest in learning languages. I prefer country, celtic, merengue, and oldies music. I also prefer female singers and bands since they tend to use less swear words and too me have songs with better messages. I like the outdoors and animals. I used to camp a lot. Now I’d prefer to camp on my sailboat.
