My Introduction: |
I am a life-long member of the L.D.S. church, and
recognize the importance of the Church in my life.
I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of
the Gospel I retired from my job of 35 years in
Dec, 2013, and enjoy not having to go to work. I
grew up in Idaho and have lived in Utah for 37
years. My degree was in music education, but i
only taught school for 2 years in the public
schools. I realized then that I wasnt cut out to
be a school teacher, so I got a job in the
aerospace industry and that is the job I retired
from last year. I keep in touch with all my
children and try to help them out where possible.
I grew up on a farm in Idaho, so I have learned
how to work. I am certainly not perfect, but I
continually strive to live my life more as the
Church teaches us to. I don't have any major
problems in my life t |
My Interests and Hobbies: |
I like gardening, and have a big garden, which I can take better care of now that I am retired. I enjoy the outdoors. I like to hike and enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I like to be frugal, but I don;t go overboard on it. I have no long-term debt, which is a good position to be in. I particularly like Utah's red-rock country. I have a brother who is a snow-bird, so I visit him in Idaho in the summer and Arizona in the winter. I like getting out of the city when I can to be in quiet places with solitude so I can enjoy the peace and quiet and be alone with my thoughts. I like to keep in shape, so I go to the gym about 3 times a week to work out. My major instrument that I play is the cello, which I still enjoy playing. I have played in community symphony in the past, and may do so again in the future. |
