All the deck or just part of it???

My name is Marjorie. I am 36 years old. Wee bit older don't ya know... lol

I live in a small town in southeast Kentucky. If you ever have time you can reference it. Just look up BLOODY HARLAN. It got it's name when the coal mines were trying to get a union in. I'm in the process of trying to by a new home. I need room for the foster children I plan to have after my two get into their own lives. I currently live beside my parents. My mother has just been told she most likely has cancer (update!!! Great news! It wasn't cancer! But the doctors removed part of her lung due to a rare disease.) . And my dad has a failing heart. So I try to stay close to them too. But if (when) I get my new home I will give the one I have now to my sister. I feel that they've taken care of me for many years, it's my turn to take care of them. That's what family does right?


I went into nursing school at age 16, joined the *Email Blocked* was during Desert Storm. I felt since I had the training I should put it to use taking care of our soldiers in their time of need. I also became a meddic right off the bat. Saw a lot, did a lot, traveled some. Met some great people that I will never forget. To this day if certain ones called me up, no matter the hour or the distance, and said they needed me... I would be out the door within a matter of minutes. I stayed in for 8 years.

I joined the church while I was stationed in Hawaii. It's the darndest story. I'll tell you some time if you like. I've been a member since 03 July 1993. I love the church dearly. I know it is the one true church. My children and I are the only members out of our family, except for a cousin and her husband and he is a bishop.

I have a son Ricky who is 19 and a freshman at Eastern Kentucky University this year. He is on the dean's list and plans to become a CPA. I have a daughter Dedra who is 18 and a freshman at Southeast Community College this year. She is also on the dean's list and plans to become a chiropractor. I am very proud of them.

I love reading and I'm a pretty *Email Blocked* check is such a blessing! Poetry is a real thing with me. I love the out doors. Fishing, hiking, camping, shooting, horses, not shooting horses but riding them, animals of all kinds except for maybe spiders.... I drive a pick up truck. Own an english pointer, an american bulldog, a spitz and two cats. Oh and my daughter just got a hampster yesterday that she named rabbit. I at one time was affiliated with all of the environmental goups in the serveral surrounding states.

I joined here to make some friends.

Long walks in the woods, fishing, hunting, shooting, crocheting, cooking, bakeing and makeing candy. Also curling up on the couch with a good book or a good movie in the DVD player and listening to music.

What kind of music do I like? Anything except punk rock. =) The books I like are the scriptures of course. Then history of native americans, vampires, poetry, romance, and the civil war. One of my favorites is The Sharing. But I loaned it out and she moved away taking my book with her. I can't find another copy of it any where.
