I am outgoing and sometimes outspoken. I am very social and enjoy being around people, but when I'm tired and ready to go home, I'm done and can retreat to the quiet of my home. I have worked as an administrative assistant or paralegal for most of my adult life and now work as a contract administrator at a state university. I find great satisfaction in doing a good job for my employer. I have held many fun callings in the Church and just began my fourth year teaching Gospel Doctrine in my home ward, a calling I need because the Lord knows I won't study the scriptures in that much depth without it, but I always learn more than the students in the class and for that I am thankful.

I love all kinds of music -- well almost as I can live without rap and heavy metal -- but other than that, my tastes are varied. I love classical, film scores, oldies, country, jazz, anything really. I just LOVE music and what it can bring to our lives. With regard to movies, I like a good drama -- one that has a deep character study -- some action flicks, a good comedy once in a while, and some sci-fi (love Star Wars and the original Star Trek crew, including the last two that have been released). My TV addiction includes the original Law & Order series -- my all-time favorite -- but I also love a lot of old classic sitcoms. I have two children, a son and a daughter, both grown and married. My life at home is tied up with my two little elderly dachshunds. They are great company, and they know I love them dearly. I try to go to the gym four times a week and began eating healthier about two years ago. I still have a long way to go, but I feel better than I have in years. I love to cook, but living alone, I tend to cook for friends and/or bring whatever I've made into work to share with co-workers. Originally from Louisiana, I cook a lot of flavorful, Southern (or Cajun) dishes, which most of my northern Utah friends just love. I love watching college football and am sad when the season is over. :(
