I think I'm pretty easy to get along with. I'm really very empathetic and am easy to communicate with. I enjoy cooking. I like to try new cuisine and methods. I'm not always successful but it's fun to try. Also, baking- baking is so much fun! I have two adult children and four grandchildren who are amazingly important to me. I am an avid reader but, to be honest, it's mostly fluff. I love romance!! I'm not great at small talk so I sometimes come across as aloof or awkward but once the conversation starts rolling, I'm good to go! I enjoy theater but love the ballet. Movies are great and I love an adventure. I took a couple of film photography classes and found a real passion. I have, unfortunately, been unable to keep up with it because I don't have a dark room but I hope to pick it up again. I've always wanted a Great Dane. I only speak English but am fairly competent in American Sign Language. Water, water everywhere! I adore being in the water! I love swimming, canoeing and kayaking. I have an advanced SCUBA diver certification but, sadly, have only been in lakes in the area. I want to learn to water ski (and snow ski, for that matter), sail and anything else one can do on or in the water. I enjoy camping and most things out doors. I have a seriously low tolerance for social injustice. Getting it out of the way: I am absolutely NOT looking to hook up! I am looking for The One. I love a good sense of humor. Not juvenile slap stick type humor but a quick wit. I value genuine kindness, compassion, honesty, loyalty and humility. Sports...ah, sports... I don't care at all about sports. I mostly understand them but I don't care to watch. When I do go, it's ice hockey. Now that's a sport! (also, I don't understand basket ball...) Now, if you love sports- that's awesome, go you! I love to learn new things and would like, very much, for you to teach me the things you enjoy and are passionate about.
