My Introduction: |
I'm a writer, an intellectual, a scholar, and a geek -- as well as a pretty decent cook when it comes to making homemade potstickers. By day (and often by night), I teach and mentor other writers. As an award-winning author and respected editor, I'm also heavily involved in local and national community arts and literature organizations and events. |
My Interests and Hobbies: |
As a writer, it's probably no big surprise that I'm particularly fond of good books, wandering used book stores, going to poetry readings, visiting museums and galleries, and volunteering time and talents for local literary and arts non-profits. I like traveling and occasionally book tours and events take me to different parts of the country. I love good food, good conversation, and good company. I'm interested in meeting bright and talented people who share common interests and passions. What have you read lately? Who excites you? Why? (I don't respond to Flirts and Winks -- too impersonal -- I want to hear from *you* -- what makes you tick, what you love, which books and films speak to you and your sense of the world, what makes you laugh? You don't have to be local -- I want to hear from other writers and artists wherever you are, especially if you're like me - a bit of an oddball in your ward, starved for good intellectual and cultural conversation. |
