I'm not necessarily looking for romance. (Haven't
had a date in 7 months, but I'm ok with that).
Just bored and thought I'd check this out. There
was a flyer on my stake center's YSA bulletin
board with this site advertised on it. The flyer
itself practically dared me to check it out. So
here I am...
My true passion is helping people... anybody in
any circumstance... with anything. Growing up an
only child and LDS in a rough-around-the-edges
neighborhood, I spent a lot of time with my
parents and their adult friends. As a young child
I was often referred to as an "old
soul"... one who possess insights and
compassion more commonly found in someone much
older. Don't get me wrong, I'm still young and
fun... I'm just more laid back than I am wild.
All of my volunteer experience and most of my work
experience involves working with people with
various mental and/or physical disabilities. It's
what I have always done, and it will forever be a
permanent part of my life.

I enjoy photography, esspecially the dark room
work. (If only I could find a darkroom to rent or
something.... feeling deprived at the moment.) I
have pictures on here that I have taken, mostly
with an old digital camera, a few with a so-so SLR
I've had for a few years. I also enjoy playing
the piano, have been for 15 years. Walking
through cemetaries I have found to be a relaxing
"hobby" if one could call it that...
just something I enjoy on a sunny day.
I love music. I listen to all kinds of music, I
honestly don't have a preference as to what genre.
I've been playing the piano for 15 years and find
it the best medicine for any ailment. While in
highschool I taught piano lessons as an after
school job, and now I only teach on a volunteer
basis. It's more enjoyable to teach for free.
Laugh if you want to, but rollerskating is one of
my favorite things to go and do. I grew up
rollerskating with my dad all the time and it is
near and dear to my heart. I also enjoy fishing
(another daddy-daughter favorite). The best part
is the light conversation and bonding while
waiting for a bite, and the second best is
cleaning the fish. I like to get dirty, it's fun.
God made me washable, might as well get good and
gross before scrubbing down.
My favorite hisotrical moments to learn about are
the Civil War, and the Holocaust. Other than
those, I'd say my most hated subject to learn
about is history. My favorite would be...
English. I love to read and write... ooh, and I'm
one mean editor too!
