I've been a member since May 7, 2000. The missionaries came knocking on my door the day before Easter. I tried to get rid of them but to no prevail they succeeded to come in. They inroduced me to the Book of Mormon and they gave me a copy. Which I still have that copy to this day. Before they left that night they set up another appointment to come by later the following week. I let them come by as much as they wanted to come by. Fifteen days later I was baptized. After I was baptized I found out that my door was going to be the last one that they would try before they went back to their apartment that faithful day. The only thing I knew about Mormons before the missionaries came to me was that the "Osmonds' were mormons and they lived in Utah mainly. After I was baptized I found out that I went to school with a bunch of Mormons. Who knew. I counted about five of them to be in my High School Class alone.

I pretty much work six days a week at a day care center. I'm around kids all of the time and I still want a few of them myself. When you first meet me I am very shy but once I get to know you then you can't shut me up for anything.

Where do I begin on my interests and hobbies? I have a lot of them. When I am in a very good mood I love cooking. My mom says that I have a special talent for baking pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving time. I bake the pies almost every Thanksgiving. If I don't bake one I just feel really strange until I do. Plus I do a pretty good job on lasagna.

Back in 2001 I started doing scrapbooking and I fell in love with it. I haven't done a whole lot recently. My life's been kind of hectic lately. I have done two scrapbooks so far. I am on the third book.

I do love hiking in the mountains and around Colorado Springs. We have really nice parks to hike in. Why not just come on out and try them with me. You will fall in love with the city.

Even though I haven't downhill skied since 1994 I still consider it one of my hobbies. I still have my ski equipment but don't have the time or money to go anymore. Even though I live in the state of Colorado. One of these days I will just take a weekend off and go skiing. I will probably have to save up to just buy a lift ticket.

My parents got me in the habit of traveling. If I counted correctly I have been to 40 of the states plus Canada and Mexico. I haven't been to the New England States or the four states in the North West part of the country. Haven't been to Hawaii or Alaska yet. I plan on going to the rest of the states within my lifetime here on earth.

I love going to church activities and institute classes. I was baptized in May of 2000 and I graduated from institute in May of 2001. The same weekend that I took my endowmments out. That was a very busy weekend. I have got three more certicates from institute since then. If I don't go to at least one class a semester I feel kind of out of place.

I use to love rollar skating until June of 2002. I broke my wrist in four different places while on rollar skates. I wasn't even on the rink. I was on the carpet trying to get to the front so I could exchange some rollar skates for a child that was in my care. It was a very painful to endure. I don't wish it on my worst enemy. I still have problems with that wrist to this day.

I love to read any good book that I can find. Especially John Grishams books. I have read all of them so far. I started reading some church books too.

When I have the money to go to the movies I go to almost anything. Drama, Comedy, Disney, Family films. I do not like to go see horror movies. They just scare the living daylights out of me. I do have a pretty wide selction of DVDS and *Email Blocked* I am bored I can pop in a movie and sit back and watch at my pleasure.

My roommate has gotten me hooked on ABC day time soaps. Luckily we have a DVR and we can watch them at our own pace. I am a advid TV watcher. I love all CSI shows, Ghost Wisperer, Survivor, American Idol, ER, Friends, Big Brother, 7th Heaven, and the award shows.
