Hi, I'm Eric. I'm a 22 year old Army sailor (quite an unique line of work I should mention) stationed out of Ft. Eustis Va. I'm almost done with my term, and the world is finally my oyster. Like many other "jack mormons" that fill the ranks of our armed forces, I've been inactive from the church since I was a teen. However, I've come to the realization that my life is rather empty without the gospel as my companion. I guess one could say that I'm at a crossroad, and I've found my way back home.

Fun? Well, I'm easy to please. I fish like it's a second job. It's not just about the fishing. Maybe, it's more about the comradery between my circle of fishing friends. I enjoy boating and just about anything to do with the water, hence my occupation. When it's too cold or the weather is just too unpleasant to be outdoors, I fall back on my second passtime: Home aquaria. Only my closest friends understand. Yes, it's compulsive. I'm trying to find a 12 step program-Just kidding......I'm usually fairly active, but I have been known from time to time to go on week long sprees of blissful vegetation. I worry about anyone who hasn't mastered the couch potato role. Exercise. Well, I seem to get enough of it from the daily routine of being a soldier. I never got into sports growing up (I'm such a momma's boy!), but I do play raquetball and am willing to try just about anything. I've developed a mild addiction to flea markets and yard sales. Traveling. Ever been in a city in a foreign country without speaking the language? Sure, it's a little antimidating, but you'd be surprised how far a smile and some "charades" can get you.
