I'm a recent widower, married for 27yrs, interested in continuing in the that great plan of happiness we call life. Ok, it sounds corny but it's true!
I'm not your average guy, I don't stand too much on ceremony, nor do I do things because that's the way others do it and I do not believe that fear or lack of experience is a valid reason for (me) not to do something. I'm going to give you a real life view of who I am, who I am and am not, the good, the bad and the ugly.
I don't care much for drama in life and prefer complete honesty and frankness. If you don't want to know, don't ask cause I'll tell you. Like this: "Do these pants make me look fat?" My response may well be 'let's see, they show off your great legs and the low waist line really accentuates the widest part your hips'. If you don't do total honesty then I suggest you stop reading now. I do strive to be polite, courteous, respectful and even tactful but sometimes, well, um, my opinion comes out. I'm working on that one. If the house is clean I will keep it that way and if it's not I probably won't go to great lengths to change it. I do very much appreciate order but I also tolerate and enjoy a place that can be lived in, ie I loved it when my girls had slumber parties, everywhere but my garage, and was sad to see the tents and such come down. I like to enjoy myself and sometimes it's OK to have a mess. I may leave my socks on the floor, I hate folding clothes and don't much care for doing dishes. I do love to cook and to be creative and adventurous while doing so. I appreciate nice clothes but will often wear sweats to the store. If you coddle me I'll let you and be a beast to be with cause next thing you know I'll be saying things like "get me a drink please, toss me the remote, what's for dinner, etc." You get the drift. I'm a hard worker but like my first Greyhound, if allowed to, I can be a 45 mile per hour couch potato. No, seriously, it's true! I try to be comical on a regular basis and truly love great movies, which are usually old ones. Technicolor RULES! I love to teach and instruct and mostly in a gospel /church setting. Regular Temple attendance is and always will be a part of my life. God comes first, then I make sure I can care for others then comes my wife then the children etc. These are my priorities and there is no room for discussion unless the Prophet says otherwise. I'm full of faults and will freely admit them. I'm passionate about the Gospel and love intimacy & and not just the physical kind. I desire to live as close to my daughters as I can. We have really good relationships & I love being around them. I'm a miracle whip guy. I love soups, creative/subtantative salads, sandwiches and yes, a nice steak once in a while. I love my vegies raw & cooked. Oh I almost forgot, I really appreciate a woman who knows her own mind and will freely express her options and desires. Well, that's a small part of me. Interested, intrigued, scared or just curious? Only you know that. Be safe, have fun and for everyone's sake, don't take yourself or anyone else too seriously!

I have a hobby that you need to know about, I shoot. I shoot long range rifles, 22 lr matches and precision rifle type matches. I have and regularly use a metal detector. I enjoy technical things. Photography has been a hobby and hopefully will be again. I love animals, live and on a plate. Dogs have almost always been a part of my life. I do hunt sometimes but it is not 'my life'. Family comes before all else and having said that I need to state that I will go out and do things on my own if members of my family won't go with me but I prefer a relationship where we participate together rather than separately - at leat sometimes.
Music needs to fit or create the desired mood.
