Fun, easy-going, and adventurous. I work as a
tester and project coordinator for a computer
company. I've also taught art and languages as a
preschool/afterschool teacher before. However, I
am fascinated by computer programming and
technologies. My dream is to be able to build my
own apps and programs some day. I worked at Apple
for 1.5 years as an user acceptance tester and a
retail employee. I grew up in Taiwan and moved
here to the Bay Area when I was about 17. I
attended UC Davis where I explored and enjoyed
taking a wide variety of courses such as,
metaphysics, linguistics, symbolic logic, and then
a lot of institute classes.
My mission took place in several places: 1) Salt
Lake Temple Square, 2) Boise Idaho, and 3) a
mini-mission in Asia afterwards (when I went and
stayed in Taiwan). I believe that deep down as
fellow human beings, we all want to be loved,
respected, admired, and may sometimes want to
share ideas, emotions, thoughts, and abstract
concepts with those around whom we value the
most.
What the Church is to me: definitely church-going
each Sunday. Callings I have had are, ward
missionary, Sunday school teacher, primary
teacher, translator, Relief Society pianist, and
family history consultant. I got to help
facilitate institute classes, and serve with the
LDS public affairs committee in Taiwan while I was
there. I currently teach the age 8-11 Valiants in
Primary, and Gospel Principles. Overall, I enjoy
any opportunities to serve within the church.
I was offered a full-time position by the Church
to work as a translator, but instead I took a job
working as a teacher. I would love the opportunity
to work for the church.

Some of my interests include computer stuff, art,
some member missionary work, basketball, and
swimming.
When it comes to family, I definitely believe
family first. I have lots of families in town. I
have a brother who recently graduated from UC
Berkeley with both Psychology and Molecular
Cellular Biology double majors. My sister recently
married a Cal alumini, and lives 3 miles away from
us. My grandma with two cousins live next door to
my parents. My aunt lives five blocks down in the
neighborhood-- she has three kids, and one of them
studied at UCSF as a doctor. Another aunt lives in
Boston area, with her husband who is a MIT
alumini, and together they raised three kids.
Among the three, two of them went to MIT. I keep
in contact with them although most of my families
live their lives happily and independently of the
Church. I believe that some people live better
lives outside of the Church.
If you'd like to see my artwork, I posted a few of
my high school artwork, which was mostly from
freshman year, please check out the photo album.
