Active in the Church. Currently serve as a
Councilor in our branch presidency and a stake
singles representative. I also serve as a
volunteer and veil worker in our newly dedicated
temple (Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA.) I found
out that any branch, ward or stake priesthood or
auxiliary leaders cannot serve as temple ordinance
workers because the general authorities basically
realize the workload we have and don't want us to
over do i so-to-speak. I found that
fascinating.
I've been divorced once (along time ago) with no
children. I had unfortunately married a non-member
from my work who was not a member. Three years
into our marriage I found out she had a pattern of
breaking marital covenants. I'm so very glad quite
frankly it happened early on so I could remove
myself from that situation and eventually find
someone with similar standards and life goals who
values their temple covenants they have made.
Sisters, it is far worth the wait for you to wait
as long as you have waited so far...even to wait
longer for some young man who is worthy to stand
beside you and be joined together in the temple
for all time and eternity. It breaks my heart to
personally know sisters who have married outside
of the church because they so desparitely desire
and seek companionship.
This would be my plea to any single sister
anywhere in the world. You deserve the best!

I Was a licensed flight instructor pilot in the US
in the 80's and 90's. Aviation is still a close
second to my love for the gospel. I raised two
little kitty cats...Tammy and Lindsey who have
both passed away--my little Lindsey just this past
June. I consider them my children; as I never had
the blessings of having human ones. One of many
truths I love about the restored gospel of Jesus
Christ is that all living things will be
resurrected and we learn in the temple that all
living creatures will receive a fullness of joy. I
know that I can be with my little Tammy and
Lindsey again as I strive to keep my covenants and
endure to the end. If your're not a pet lover then
it's probably hard to understand the sentiment I
expressed.
I enjoy cycling, walking and especially reading
classics and non-fiction. One of my favorite
things to do is to find out about people's
professions. It's fascinating to see sometimes the
complexity involved in the making of a product or
service rendered. Whether you are a trauma nurse,
a carpenter or a vendor selling street food--you
have an interesting story to tell as far as I'm
concerned. All work is noble many of our modern
day prophets, apostles and auxiliary leaders have
told us in conference talks. One of my favorite
scriptures states that the "Glory of God is
intelligence."
I hope you are all having success in finding
friendship on this site.
I am planning a trip for 2017 to the Phillippines
and am looking forward to meeting members of the
branches and wards I am planning to attend plus
attending hopefully both the Cebu and Manila
temples while I'm there. I know I won't have to
bring a winter jacket! 😎
