I love watching sports (Go Dodgers!), walking with my 86# Husky-Malamute, and being outside (observing, reading, gardening, etc.) rather than being inside the house. Although scripture reading and family history can be solitary activities, family home evenings, Church activities, and Temple outings are definitely more rewarding (and fun!) when experienced with a companion.
