A mate is not a product that can be picked off a shelf. We all have strengths and quirks that draw people to us. Simply put, I just want to meet someone that wants to ebb and flow in the same general direction that I do. I am a giving person at every level and I only expect the same in return. Successful relationships are based more on giving than taking. I am a professional man who understands the importance of a balanced life...work, play, & trying to live a spiritual life. I gave it a name...The Kid in the Candy Store Syndrome. All this makes it difficult to focus on any one person...or even give a person a chance who is sincere about wanting to be in a relationship. The distraction of corresponding with so many people just seems to be one of the pitfalls of this method of meeting & really getting to know someone special. You'd think with all the choices been provides that it would be easy to find that special someone, but I think that just the opposite is true. I'm not saying I'm any better at it than anyone else. It's a pitfall for me too. I don't understand & chemistry. Even more, I don't understand someone deciding if is there on their first meeting. One thing I've discovered in years...you can fall in love with things that didn't attract *Email Blocked*r, I understand that the heavens can open & the angels sing sometime when we first meet people. What I don't understand is someone expecting that to happen every time. I've thought this whole "chemistry& attraction & thing over. I suppose they both mean the same thing to a lot of people. But...I'm sticking to my story about being able to fall in love later with things that didn't attract you at first!!
