My Introduction: |
I'm looking for a sincere, pleasant individual who is sure of herself and has a good background in the church. I would prefer a non blonde individual who preferably might be of a Native (First Nations)background. (if you want to know circumstances then write otherwise please know that I am not being biased against blondes or that I don't like them, in many ways the opposite is too true.) By the way, ....I no longer have the beard. I've spent many years of my life as a music/movie reviewer for many papers across Canada. I love to dance, as I hold a bronze syllabus in International Ballroom and I have taught and been in several dance floorshows in several places in western Canada. I'm an avid reader and constant learner. I enjoy the writings of the Dead Sea Scrolls, Hugh Nibley, and FARMS, for whom I have been asked to contribute material on First Nations peoples in Canada and how they relate to the Book of Mormon etc. I have served a full time Mission, District Mission and a few others of which I am still on, one working with Lamanite individuals. At present I am in the midst (with work and all) of completeing my masters program in Anthropology with the field of Aboriginal/Native Studies with a thesis on Canadian Residential School Healing and Afteraffects. I hope this is not not intimidating for some of you, but it is the thumbnail sketch of myself of which I'll add more later as time goes by. |
My Interests and Hobbies: |
I have a strong background in church doctrine and history;love to read and study and am looking for someone of like nature. I have taught and enjoy ballroom dancing though it has been some time since I have had the priviledge of endulging in the activity. I also have a small martial arts background in Kung Fu (5yrs). I enjoy educational programs and adventure. Since I reviewed movies for five years I have a strong penchant for them, even though many times I would rather wait till they come out on video to see them rather than pay the exhorbant cost of them now. I have also worked as an archaeologist in Belize and would love the day I might be able to go back to the site I was on and see how things are now. I attend pow-wows and other such gatherings when I have the chance and enjoy the singing and drumming and am trying to learn how to drum properly. Crazy in a way, for one who makes drums, and teaches drum making classes, right? |
