Hello everyone, nice to be on this site with you. I am a cheerful, happy single Mom of 4 married children who are all active in the church serving in various callings. I have served in many positions in the church where ever I am called. Was baptized by my best friend's husband when I was 22 years old, from a multi-generational Baptist family. My family was very upset when I joined. I am now retired from being a Registered Nurse, believe strongly in living debt free, living within your income and as stress-free as possible. I love to garden, had my landscaper include an garden in my back yard. I have friends of nearly every age, from 20's to a very dear, blind, 95 years young, lady from California who lives here in Illinois with her Granddaughter. We laugh, share stories, etc. I am a good listener. I really dislike prideful bragging, lies and gossip. I bike, exercise with weights a few times a week, walk and play with my 2 1/2 year old St. Bernard, Penny who I rescued. I love movies, eating out, road trips. Visiting as many church sites as I am able is on the top of my Bucket List since I have retired. I have been to Nauvoo many times as it is only 3 hrs away. Served in a first-aid station during the Nauvoo Temple Open House, before dedication in 2002. Hope to make good friends here. Share with me!

Family and friends, St. Louis Temple Ordinance worker. Love movies, just not horror movies, STL Cardinal ball games, old Rock and Roll music, old Motown music, eating out, shopping, dancing, though there are no places in my area of Illinois to dance except bar-types, so I save the dance fever for weddings, grad parties, etc., date nights with grandchildren, just for fun. Watch a little TV, love to bike, work in my yard, garden, decorate my house, knit for friends and family and sometimes even for myself. My domestic companion is a 2 1/2 year old St. Bernard, Penny. I take her for rides in the back of my SUV, and she loves it! I am very blessed with 3 married children and their spouses and 13 grandchildren living in my Stake, keeps me going to school concerts, ball and soccer games, etc. My oldest daughter lives in Dallas, I visit Texas frequently and also go to the Houston area, as my only brother lives in Katy. I really enjoy the history and beaches of Galveston. I love all history, of the church, US war history and, of course, family history. I served as an extractor for a few years. I bought a plastic model of a B-24D Liberator, with all paint and need help to put it together. My Dad was a WWII, pilot of this bomber. Anyone experienced? This is something I've only watched my big brother do, never done one myself, and this bomber is so very special.
