Wow...me in a nutshell. Well let's see, I am
originally from Canada and moved to the United
States in May of 1998. Hope to get my citizenship
process started this year. I am a mom of two
young men, 20 and 18, and until 2008 I was a stay
at home mom. My oldest has moved back to Canada
and my youngest currently lives with me, along
with my chocolate lab.
I am currently earning my bachelors degree in
criminal justice and will graduate this year. I
am working part time as an after care worker
(children who need care when classes are done for
the day) it is because of the love I have for this
job that I am changing my career path. I will
continue on to earn my masters degree to be an
elementary teacher.
I did not grow up with religion in my life and
became a Christian in 2004 when I accepted Jesus
as my Lord and Savior. However, I was not a
member of the LDS church until 2011, and was
blessed enough to be able to receive my endowments
on the 1 year anniversary of my confirmation as a
member of the church. :) I realize and love that
there is so much more for me to learn (like this
whole dating thing...lol) and ways for me to
continue to grow with the LDS church.
My divorce was not messy or ugly and we are
friends, so no divorce bitterness or blues
happening here. I guess anything else you will
find out as we get to know each other...if you are
interested. :)

This one is a little more difficult as between
being a mom, student, employed, church
activities/callings, and being a pet owner it is
hard to find time for much else. Until recently
everything I did was with and for my boys, which
included their sporting activities, then moved on
to their music endeavors. During that journey of
motherhood when it was all about the boys I kind
of lost myself and continue to work on figuring
out who I am and what my interests are.
My son and I definitely enjoy going to the movies
whenever we can and of course we like to eat.
Wish I was more of a cook...lol Other things I
have enjoyed in the past, and am sure I would
still enjoy, are bowling and miniature golf. I
grew up with a love for board games and cards but
that love did not transfer into my boys as I would
have liked it to. I love to read but being a
student I do not have as much time as I'd like to
read for pleasure. I am open and willing to try
new things. And really just enjoy spending time
and doing things with the people I love. :D
I am not much of a planning person, more of a go
with the flow of life to see where it takes me. I
am interested in developing a friendship and if it
leads to something more awesome...if not at least
I made a new friend. :)
Message me if you would like to get a conversation
going and see where it may lead us. :D
