My Introduction:

My name means, "harmonious," or "sweet as honey." I am busy trying to make teaching music my career. I want to teach the world to sing. Singing makes you feel better. I prefer to be married, but am finding out that being single is very comfortable, and freeing. I love to travel and hope to someday go on an "organ crawl" in Germany, Italy, France, and England. I love New York and would go there at least once a year if I could. I love opera. It is the culmination of all the art forms in one event. I love to do ballroom dancing, but need a partner who understands my body. I like to swim laps for exercise, but find it too lonely. I prefer to power walk and am able to spend some quality time with God in prayer, as I do. I would share my private time as I walk, if I had a male partner who shared the same passion for exercise. However, I would still need some personal space. I am a morning person, nutrition conscious, clean conscious, money conscious, with a social consciousness, and a clear conscience. I do not tolerate bad smells, slothfulness, nor video game playing. If you ever lie to me, you will be my enemy for life. If you are honest with me, with yourself, and with everyone else, we can be great friends.

My Interests and Hobbies:

I like movies, especially "chic flics." My all-time favorite movie is "Sound of Music." I like classical concerts, especially symphonies. The last pop concert I went to was James Taylor, in Nashville 2 years ago. I like his music, but he is not an entertainer. I am planning to go to "Fidelio" by the Atlanta Opera in April. George Dyer, a great Mormon tenor is performing. I first saw him in Nashville last October at Time Out for Women. I enjoy being the passenger on a motorcycle. The best part is feeling the oneness with nature. I am intrigued by old houses. I don't think I want to live in one. I just like visiting them, touring them, and imagining days gone by. My favorite thing to do is dancing. I grew up going to church dances. I made the BYU Ballroom Dance Team my first semester there. I love that kind of dancing. I don't really enjoy freestyle. I like having a partner. My new interest is conducting choir. I've had some training as part of my music degree. A year ago I successfully conducted one piece on our university concert. Now I am the ward choir conductor. We've had one performance and it went well. I started piano when I was 6 years old. My parents bought me a brand new piano for my 8th birthday. I continued lessons through high school. In college I switched to organ. I am better at organ. I also teach organ. I started playing school basketball in the 6th grade. My junior year of high school, I was playing in a district tournament and seriously injured my knee. That was the end of my basketball career. I have not encouraged my children to be serious about sports. I like to swim laps for exercise. I find it too lonely to do every day. I love walking for exercise. That's my favorite. I also like to hike in parks, in the woods, in the mountains. One of my favorite things to do is talk on the phone.
