My Introduction: |
|
Convert, 1974. 6th generation Californian, Utah
13 years by way of Arizona for 9 years.
Rennaisance type, gifted in many ways and fields.
Love to help, teach, and serve. Very patience.
No slouch! Life wouldn't let me. Can provide
tons of references from church leaders and others
attesting to my personality and caring
disposition. Blue collar work ethic still at my
age, though not like it was when I was 27. Very
much an intellectual despite my tender caring
ways. Was a poster child for many years, more on
this later. Looking for someone who is both kind
and fun. From my graduate school work I value
team work significantly. Want to be equally
yoked. My favorite example of teamwork is to
watch great basketball teams. Widowed in 1995,
later divorced after a second marriage from an
abusive spouse who had an abusive childhood. Have
a big heart, emotionally - especially for a male.
Joint custody of 2 youngest children. New
England ancestry that reaches back to the
Mayflower, first settlers of New Amsterdam and
others. Career was mostly in aerospace as an
analyst, now between careers, but retired
presently. Last 13 years have been difficult, now
behind me. During the latter part of my Aerspace
years I was nicknamed Commander Data and for good
reasons. Moving into a very large 5600 square foot
home home in Bear River City with in-laws and
will have the top floor for my family on a big lot
right by the Bear River and the Bear River Bird
Santuary. Hundreds of bald and golden eagles nest
in this area along with many other species who
make this area their home along with a variety of
four legged type of critters Degrees in
International Relations, Accounting and a MBA with
Honors and almost completed my doctorate in
Business before I was suddenly widowed. USC
Trojan fan, graduated from there and root for both
BYU and U of U because I can't lose either way.
Three grand children (all boys). Not looking for
anyone who has an inter-personal temper problem or
a "killer" ex. Really get along well
with just about anyone except the Donald Trump
type of egos or are abusive, especially physically
abusive. Look yonger than my age and always have.
Paternal genetic trait. Don't need to be dined
like its Paris or the latest in Paris fashion,
just seeking someone solid, nice, smart, caring,
and fun. Value neatness and organizational skills
but not obsessive about it. If you want a wealthy
guy, keep looking.

My Interests and Hobbies: |
|
5'10" tall and about 177 pounds. Need to
exercise more too. Good eating habits and health
have become increasing more important to me. No,
I have not had anything like cancer or bypass
surgery. I like to do a lot of things. Love to
travel, date nights, visiting others, gardening,
landscaping, home improvements, genealogy, jigsaw
puzzles (put just about anyone to shame on jigsaw
puzzles), hot rod vehicles, hiking (but not at 5
digit altitudes), ATV-ing on largely flat terra
firma. Witnessed to the consequences of too many
unwise ATV mishaps. Love jumping boulders along
rivers, boating, camping at quality Hotels,
basketball, volleyball, snorkling, bowling, all
kinds of music but not rap. Center to right
politically, but very opened minded, value
competence and practicality big time in leaders.
I am largely a very opened minded individual. It
was my career (analyst). Would not have been any
good if I wasn't. Love deep discussions (not
monologues) on a wide variety of subjects. Like
pets/animals, especially the kind that don't bite
in a manner requiring stitches - Had to get
stiched from fishing, mountain biking a mean and
wet downhill and and the low hurdle on the track
team. Have traveled 90% of the continental United
States and Hawaii. In my early years before joing
the church (age 23) and leaving for a Mission in
Arizona when I was 24, I drove, raced and cruised
all the famous sites and streets and highways of
Southern California which are concurrently some of
the most famous in the US. Never had a lot of
friends but the friends that I have had are top
quality! Almost forgot. I am a heavy reader,
especially of current events and non-fiction.
Have National Geographics and Church Magazines
back to the 1950's and some back to the early 20th
century. Probably still own over a thousand
books, church and other wise. Some are really
old. Darn, forgot something else, love antique
furnishing and have my huge share, some having
been in the family for going on more than a
century. Another thing I like to do is walk thru
malls and go through and look at model homes.
Also like car shows - hot rods. Gave them up when
I got married. Now maybe I want to try to be
young at heart again.
