I am a faculty member at Weber State University in
the School of Business and enjoy teaching and
writing. I am currently interviewing for
positions out of state, and anticipate living in
Florida or Indiana.
Most of what I write about deals with creating
effective relationships with people to help them
to achieve their goals as well as those of the
organization.
I just finished writing a fun paper about
"Love, Forgiveness, and Trust: Critical
Values for the Covenantal Leader." It's a
paper about an ideal model of leadership that
treats people as valued assets rather than simply
as costs to control. I have submitted a book
proposal to a publisher, and hope to complete that
book this year.
I intend to work for the next fifteen years, but
plan to enjoy life along the way as well. I love
being involved with helping others to learn, and
especially enjoy working with adult learners who
work while going to school.
I am looking to establish friendships with others
and to go from there.

I work out several times a week and try to stay in
great shape. I have lost twenty-five pounds since
the first of the year and am delighted with how I
feel physically.
I am headed to Florida for ten days to play golf
and tennis. (I teach online this semester and can
manage my classes out of state.)
I try to play golf six days a week. Golf has been
a part of my life for more than forty years and is
a great source of companionship, exercise, and
the opportunity to think about important ideas or
talk with Heavenly Father.
I enjoy dancing, read a great deal, cook pretty
well, and love music and movies. I have been told
that I am easy to talk with and listen well.
Although I am high energy when doing something I
really enjoy, I also enjoy relaxing, thinking
about interesting questions that I don't yet
understand, and figuring out what I can do to be a
better person.
I am not sure what 2007 will bring, but I am
looking forward to discovering what life has to
offer. Goal setting is fun for me. I believe in
the saying that "Life is a cinch by the inch,
but by the yard it is hard!" I try to
achieve little goals, and enjoy accomplishing them
each day.
More than anything in life, I want to do what is
right and to become the best person I can possibly
be. I love Heavenly Father. I don't always
understand Him yet -- but I can certainly deal
with that.
I have been active in the Church since I joined
the Church in Chicago at the age of fifteen. I
love to learn, and growing closer to Heavenly
Father is my number one goal for 2007.
