I have a big heart (anyone who knows me will vouch
for that) and an ever inquiring mind. For almost
the past two decades I have devoted almost full
time to assisting, on a volunteer basis, those
whose lives and health have been shattered by
adverse reactions to serotonergic prescription
drugs, mainly antidepressants.
After 20 years of being alone after "the
divorce," it is time to find someone to share
life with. I need a friend who will share my hopes
and desires and work with me to accomplish much
good in our families and the world and the church.
I want someone to work with me to prepare for the
millennium which Brigham said would be here
tomorrow if we would get our act together now.
When it comes to service I do tend to go overboard
(it was those 80 and 90 hour weeks in the mission
field that got me started) and know that it is
time to focus a little more on my own life and
future. Always expect the out of the norm, or
unusual from me. I would not use the word odd at
all, but being like everyone else always did seem
a little boring to me. Now we have all been led to
believe that medicating us to all be boringly
"normal" is the way to go.
As you might have guessed by the name I picked for
this site, I am a confessed health nut and it has
definitely paid off. I saw a doctor last month for
the first time in over 30 years and it was a waste
of time and money. My patriarchal blessing makes
it quite clear that the Word of Wisdom is a HUGE
part of my mission in life. So I am in great shape
physically, hard working, active, love throw
myself into organic gardening (whenever I can find
a minute), am not into movies - would rather live
life than watch someone else live it on a screen .
. .
I am from Arizona, but have lived many places
including Europe for a short time. I lived in Utah
for many years after my mission and moved to Iowa
a year and a half ago. I absolutely love it here!
I like not feeling cramped like cities make you
feel. Yet, I will always love California too . . .
I am laid back, easy going, and do not like such a
fast pace even though my life seems to race at a
pretty fast pace most of the time anyway. Stepping
out on the deck to watch the lake beyond the
pasture for a few minutes sure does recharge your
batteries though! It is so beautiful here that it
is like living in a park that you only get to
visit in a city.
The Gospel has been my center my whole life.
Serving a mission set the stage for the rest of my
life - except for that nasty divorce. :-) The
temple is the most amazing blessing and one that
sets us far apart from other religions. I only
regret that it took me so long to fully grasp what
the endowment was all about and learn to
appreciate it the way I do. It helps one to
understand how blessed we are as we get the
genealogy of our ancestors in order to attain
those blessings for them which in turn bless our
lives in ways we cannot even begin to grasp
yet!
First Enoch was my hero as he took a society as
corrupt as ours and got them to repent to the
point of translation! But Hugh Nibley was also one
of my many heroes since. What an amazing mind and
wonderful sense of humor!
As you can tell I am an author and before I end up
finishing another book here, I will stop and let
you contact me for the "rest of the
story" of my life and interests.

There is little I am not interested in. I love
learning! Trying new things has always been
exciting to me. I am down to earth, uncomplicated
- I guess no woman is that, huh? Let's see -
gardening, tennis, pool, table tennis, chess,
stained glass, pottery, design, etc. I love
working too!
