For me, true love follows only after a period of
building respect and admiration through
friendship. Do you have a character fine enough to
be reverenced? I find any lack of integrity
alienating, but when I really look up to a person,
I can be more loyal than a dog.
OK, now let's lighten up. Besides the
all-important quality of good character, here's
what I like: brains, good humor, forgiveness,
even-temperament, clean speech, adventure,
outdoors, variety.
I am an oxymoric woman who may be difficult to
fit, or maybe you'll just have to accept a woman
who can't be pinned into a stereotype. I'm
strikingly independent, yet capable of emotional
closeness. I'm very smart, but goofy. I'm detail
-oriented, but absent minded. I clean up nice but
feel just as comfortable mucking out a barn as
going to the opera. I love the country but am
sophisticated as any New Yorker. I love to travel,
but I also enjoy staying at home. I like cowboys,
but expect good manners. I am not material, but I
do spend money keeping myself nice. I enjoy
meeting important people, but I also enjoy making
friends with my plumber and my mechanic. I love my
grown daughter, but I need to get away from them
sometimes. I'm smart and well-educated, but I have
respect for self-made people. I'm not a
professional writer, so therefore have trouble
writing my own profile...stopping now before this
gets any worse!

Kayaking, camping, fly fishing, salt water
fishing, laughter, horse packing into wilderness
areas, chatting with friends from all over the
world. Oh, and I just happen to be a gourmet
cook.
