My Introduction:

Don't feel shy, message me, I would be happy to chat when I am online!

Check out my Gallery at least 30 pictures there now.

My life has been a treasure chest of romantic adventure.
I seek a partner to share the new adventures as they come.

Know that reading here what I am looking for reveals what you what can expect in return.

I am looking for a woman ...
...who is tender at heart,
...with an instinct towards care taking,
...that enjoys giving & receiving backrubs
...which values loyalty, communication, & PDAs
...that would touch my shoulder each time she passes; always saying hi & bye with a hug or kiss?
...that desires & initiates physical intimacy often in the ultimate relationship
...who understands that we're different
...which will talk openly & honestly about her feelings & thoughts & mine too
...who embraces a weakness for small delights & joys;
...that loves experiences simply because they happen when we are together
...who would enjoy the give & take of an affectionate hard time & innuendo banter, "B" movies, & a walk in town during a flurry.
Is this you? I've been looking for you!

I've had my kids, yours are fine but no new family in the planning here, just lots of pretending!

I'm horribly allergic to cats & ferrets, wasps & hornets, with varying reactions to small furry & feathered friends. My pets are fish.

Most nice weather Sundays I ride my Kawasaki to church, wishing I had someone to ride with.

"They" say I have some sort of way about me that triggers a sensual response, that I am cute, handsome or good looking, I have a perfect this, that, or the other thing bla bla bla, I don't know about all that. It seems I wouldn't be single if that was true. Then again I have heard more than enough times to believe it isn't total balogna is that I am an "awesome guy." That's always nice to hear.

I do have two major problems. Though I'm comfortable in life, I am alone... with a bad knee. I expect to fix one of those two problems, and the knee is not repairable, sooooo I suppose I'll concentrate on the alone problem.

Forget the Spike... I am Michael

Want to know more? Here are some special things about me...

What do I like to do? Cuddle, cook, ride my motorcycle, do things for others, toss a frisbee(poorly), fly kites, model, launch rockets, tend my aquariums, visit museums, stroll a park, eat, play, attend theatre, walk galleries, shop for anything but shoes, cash checks made out to me, cuddle, write, fiddle with electronics, listen to music, read, share jokes, tease, flirt, soak in a hot tub, tend a fire, nap (metaphorically as well as literally), drive, travel, visit unique places of various purpose, meet and learn from other people, did I mention PDA's? horseback ride, rollercoasters... more

Some of what I read may be inordinately boring for some people. The library said I was the only person to ever read the C.O.B.E. report; but I was on the waiting list to read some of Dianna Gabaldon's novels. I have read most of Heinlein's works. While I appreciate the flights of fancy from scientific basis in Clarke, Asimov and Niven; it is Pohl that weaves a world and Lem that makes math quite humorous. Chrichton is wordy but his story lines are unique. Isaac Newton's Optics righteously set Europe afire a few hundred years ago but it was the most dully boring thing I EVER read. Herbert was a visionary but Klein did as much in a third as many pages and presented me with a new way of looking at things, which I had not contemplated before. Talmage, McConkie, Kimball and a few others have works I hold in high regard for their authority on the subject, and that kind of reading has nothing to do with casual reading like the Sci-FI stuff which I read for personal enjoyment.

OK, I read all that and decided to leave it alone but PHEW! was that a dry paragraph!

As to reading anything good recently, I have to admit.... YES! Train Go Sorry was a real eye opener to the world of the Deaf. I have to work on my ASL... I have so little.

What do I like for music? The easy answer is almost anything but rap, which I do not consider music, it is what we used to call beat poetry, and as such it should remain. Did you hear about the proposition to make P-Diddy the poet laureate for the US? Oh my stars!

I consider each musical work on its own merits as much as I can but if I do not like something I do not like it.
I listen to No Doubt and Yes, Beatles and Brittany, Moody Blues and Monkees, Kansas and Alabama, Paul Revere and the Raiders and Communion of Soul, Percy Sledge and Percy Faith, Dusty Springfield and Buffalo Springfield, Barry Manilow and Barry White, James Taylor and Etta James, E C Scott and Scottish Rovers, Alice Cooper and Alice in Chains, Tony Orlando and Boston, Glen Campbell and Glen Frye, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Muddy Waters, BB King and King Crimson... hey this is kind of fun...
Pat Benetar and Pat Metheny, AC/DC and B52's, Jefferson Starship and Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin and Janis Ian, Cher and Sonny and Cher, Third Eye Blind and Blind Faith, the Inmates and Free, ummmmmm ok now it is getting harder... Pink and Pink Floyd,
David Waters and David Gilmour, the Eagles and the Ventures (as close as I could get to vultures), Ronnie James Dio and Dido, Ronettes and Ramones, John Lennon, Julian Lennon and the Lemmon Sisters, Junior Davis and Miles Davis, ok I am done... no wait, opera, garage bands, classical, rock-a-billy, very very little country, oh and some other stuff.

well... here is a little more specific stuff: I was born in Naples, Italy. Had lunch with Muhammad Ali. My Science teacher was TV's Mr Wizard. I have been on TV at least a dozen times. Lost my keys on a hiking trail on Mount Wachusett. Was one of the 20 people before the president to see the pandas when they arrived in the USA. Cried at the base of a Saturn V *Email Blocked* within 20 feet of Ronald Regan while he was president. uh... What else would you like to know?

My Interests and Hobbies:

I had the luxury and honor of attending three sessions of the dedication of the San Diego Temple; two in English and one in Spanish.

I am a poet.

There are so many things I enjoy about life one of my interests is finding new ways to have fun. See, fun is defined by who you are with and how you connect. "Mad Gab" with 3 other people, each with their own accent, now THAT is fun! Launching model rockets, visiting the butterfly conservatory and riding my motorcycle are all fun in different ways. I also enjoy flying stunt and regular kites, cooking, service projects, remodeling, shopping for anything but shoes. Jo Terry (Where are you? You restored my sanity when the world went crazy and I never thanked you!) once said to her mom "That man can SHOP!" Other things that I do for fun include:
...observing tidal pools, there is a big difference from beach to beach.
...running power equipment, new tools means new ideas means new skills means... um... heh heh I got carried away.
...splitting wood, something about going WHACK with an axe and having the log split and fly apart is just SO cool.
...tweaking electronics, especially car stereo systems. It amazes me what some people are listening to! Ten minutes and a handful of little components and it sounds SO much better. Also setting up and correcting tv color or live sound and lighting systems. I started doing it when I was about 8. I was a B&H *Email Blocked* with bands and theatrical productions doing lighting and sound re-enforcement.
...been building computers since 1984, ah... they crashed less back then.
...entertaining, playing board games and pinochle, if you know what pinochle is you don't have to ask why that is fun!
...lots and lots of cuddling and associated activities.
...hammock napping,
...concerts,
...architecture hunting,
...walking trails,
...canoeing,
...exploring cities I have never been to,
...spelunking (strictly amateur),
...World Cup Kart Racing (I do drive)
and fiddling with musical instruments. (I am no musician.)

The most fun is sharing something with someone special. Whether it is the first crocus of spring or an elaborate meal. Ever hear the song "Spending the Day(in the shirt that you wore)" by Poi Dog Pondering?

"Oh the days of wine and roses and the rubbing of noses, Bare feet, new sprouts, and garden hoses. Skipping stones, while skipping home... "Look at that tree, it's got a brand new leaf!" Candle light, candle light -- for no reason Eating fresh fruit when it's in season. Take an aimless drive behind a motor wheel Sticking fingers on paintings to see the way they feel! Spending the day in the shirt that you wore I can sense your presence from the day before..."

Life here is rather like that... Simple, fun, uncomplicated in most ways, not centered on making or spending money.
More centered on enjoying the time we have to enjoy what life has to offer... NOW. The ideal first date is something like a picnic in the park, a cup of hot chocolate at a sidewalk cafe or stargazing during a meteor shower. The ideal date is the one where you think "this... is perfect!" Hopefully I will find my partner and our first date will never end.

About a year and a half ago I took one of my daughters for a 10 day driving tour of east coast rollercoasters. We visited parks in Hershey, PA, Washington, DC, Williamsburg, VA, somewhere near the Carolina borders and then Orlando, FL. She drove the whole way (had her permit at the time, not a license) except in Washington DC proper and in Orlando which are two towns I know well. She returned an accomplished driver and confident behind the wheel. Everything we did was unplanned. It was wonderful. We had an awesome time.

Last October she made me a grandfather. Now she wants to go hit the rollercoasters we missed... Cedar Point in Ohio and King's Dominion, in Virginia I think it was. She just moved in with the grand daughter.... the house is filling up!

I love cooking for someone that appreciates both the effort and the results... I also enjoy preparing a meal for an event. Take a look in my gallery for the Christmas Dinner Menu! I do not like doing dishes. BUT I have a dishwasher and that makes it tolerable and I get satisfaction from the gleaming copper bottoms of my Revere Ware.

Just found out that "they" will not let me post the menu. Too bad. It was a great meal! Hey! the menu is accepted now! ya... oops almost put an unacceptable exclamation in there...

Someone ask me about my trip to Arkansas, being held at the airport when my carry on tested positive for explosives, Stepped in regurgitates yogurt and didn't find out til they removed my boots for examination, camped (first time ever) for a few nights in the Missouri Ozarks, got a rental car without a horn, had my campsite raided by raccoons, met Snoopy (pics soon) was put on the WRONG plane, couldn't find Ice Cream (c'mon no ice cream in Little Rock? nope just soft serve) lost my glasses on a rollercoaster, and finally saw the movie Singles Ward, met a wonderful LDS woman and her three kids, brother and mother... Thanks EW for a great vacation!
