I live in Alaska and love it. Big boy toys are nice on occasion, but I prefer quiet things like my sea kayak (I built my own), my bike (I didn't build it), gardening, camping on beaches, sailing (that's my favorite) or building things in my wood shop (sort of noisy). I've been divorced for 5 years, own a small business, carry a current temple recommend that I will NEVER let go, and am a happy guy. "Dad" was the best job I ever had. My kids are all grown and gone, but I would not mind helping someone else with their kids.

I like a gospel centered life. In fact, it IS my life. I am a temple worker one evening a week and the ward mission leader (another evening each week). I sing with our local barbershop choir (we're not very good, but we have a lot of fun). I like kind people, quiet things, everything out of doors, do not appreciate "sports" but love the theater (I have season tickets to performances at our Performing Arts Center in Anchorage). I like playing hard and working hard. I dig snow caves in the winter with my wards young men, and sea kayak with them in the summer. I'd like someone who will do outdoor things with me as well as the fun "civilized" stuff. I am physically fit, slender and work out most days. My home is nice, clean, I cook and eat well, the laundry is done and things are orderly (except for my desk). There will be TONS of flowers at the house this summer (if it ever comes ... I do live in Alaska after all).
