My Introduction:

Currently seeing a very special lady, so I am not replying to any email. Thanks :)

"Be dileriously happy, or at least leave yourself open to it... Who knows, lightning may strike." - from "Meet Joe Black", the greatest cinematic event of all time (in my humble opinion.)

I am a relaxed guy with a sense of humor, a great sense of romance, a piper with kids, and love music in all forms. I like dressing up and going on an elegant date. I also like dressing down and hiking to a waterfall, running in a thunderstorm, or taking on the big water of the Chatooga river.

I live in the #1 place to retire in the US -- Rabun County, GA. I love the mountains, lakes, streams, rivers, and waterfalls. (If you can't tell, I really love water.) I can always drive to the city when I desire to shop or take in a show.

I've been told I'm a Rennaisance man (if it ain't Baroque, don't fix it) because I live the idea that there is nothing that a person can't do. I simply do not believe in "can't".

My philosphy on dating...relax. The worst that could happen is we part as friends. We both know that God has to approve before any commitment. I don't try to put on a show, because it just wastes time getting to the real person. You'll find I'm open and honest, but more interested in learning who you are than trying to impress you with who I am. (I already know who I am.)

So, I guess its time for a peek into my soul...

My Mate's Birthday
------------------
Expect a full day celebration, followed by a weekend retreat. The day begins with breakfast in bed with a single rose and a small present.

You go to work (because I have told you that I have to be in the office for a morning telephone conference) where your day starts out like any other. At 10am the long stems arrive. At 11am a catered lunch arrives for the whole office/workplace so that everyone can celebrate your birthday. (There is a note from me that your boss will read out loud to all gathered, so that you can be given the honor you deserve.)

At 1pm, the limo arrives with your two best girlfriends. (They have instructions.) You are taken to your favorite store where you buy a new dress, and then to a small cafe where you share some dear moments with your best friends.

At 3pm, no 4pm (I don't want you to feel rushed) the friends are dropped of, and the limo takes you to a salon. There, you get the works -- massage, facial, hair, nails -- whatever you want, it's "Pretty Woman" time.

At 6:30pm, you are instructed to put on your new dress (it has been taken to the laundramat-- cleaned and ironed). You figure out you have no jewelry to accessorise with, when on que the beautician brings in your jewelry box from home. There is an empty box inside which starts you to ponder, but you dismiss it in all the excitement.

At 7pm, you are told your ride will again arrive. I arrive in a nice rental, dressed to kill. You gaze at me as I exit the car, walk around to the passanger door, open it up, lean back against the car, and glint in your direction. (I have a nice glint, trust me.) You come to me from the salon looking and feeling like a princess. As you approach, you hear music. "May I have the honor of the first dance?" You are overwhelmed (and don't we all deserve to be overwhelmed every now and then?)

After our brief interlude, I drive you to an inn, where we have an excellent seafood dinner. We dance some more, and return to the table, where you find a small, laced saucer and that little box again. This time, it is not empty. (If you do not have tears swelling yet, please click the next button on your browser.) Of course, its been a long, exciting day, and we retire upstairs to our room (where I have planned for an English Milk Bath with rose pedals.)

The next day one of us drives the rental (your choice, 'cause it may be a convertable Mustang) to some place in nature where we can relax.

(Of course, this is a special birthday, and obviously a big one. Some birtdays might just be camping under a waterfall, but they will all have one word in common -- "cherish".)

My Birthday
-----------
You really don't think I want an unimaginative mate, do you? No clues -- you tell me. I want to be overwhelmed, too.

Indoors (Cinema, Theatre, Concerts, Coffee House Music (or is that Hot Choco music), Romantic Dinners in quiet places, NFL Football Playoffs, Game nights with lots of friends)

Recently, I played the role of Lancelot in Camelot in a community theatre, and sang songs I had never heard of before. (And after singing them so much, hope I never here them again.)
