I am Randall Larsen I recently made a career change from University Professor to Movie Producer. With the help of my business partner I am raising money to produce independent films. I am a descendant (through my mother) of John Greenleaf Holman an original 1847 Utah Pioneer. I am proud of my pioneer heritage on both my Mother and Fathers side (my Father's ancestors included C.N. Lund Lauritz Larsen and other 1870s pioneers). Of course the converts of today are also pioneers. No person can live on borrowed light but having pioneer ancestors gives us something to live up to.

I enjoy reading Egyptian hieroglyphic texts and I have published some translations as part of my interdisciplinary Ph.D dissertation in Communications.

I am also a surfer (I am going to miss living in Honolulu).

I like traveling and visiting art museums such as the National Gallery and the Tate Gallery in London.

I am interested in the oral history of film directors and film stars. I am a Unit Production manager member of the directors guild. In the past I have been a Director of Photography and 3D consultant on 3D movies.

I like fine dining (when I can afford it). The best restaurants are in France. New York, Las Vegas, Houston, and San Francisco restauants aren't bad. London restaurants (except for the Shellfish Restaurant near Marlyborne station) are overpriced and unsatisfying.
