Hi guys! Well, let's see ... what am I like now? If nothing else, I am a mass of contradictions. If you are looking for a simple girl, you have come to the right place; if you are looking for a complex girl, you have come to the right place. Believe me, I have tried to reconcile the two, but after 41 years I don't think it's going to happen. Anyway, I like me this way and if you're my kind of guy, you will too. Besides, you're probably even more of a paradox than I am. Oooh! How exciting!

I guess I should start out with the music. I don't think they have invented a word for the way I feel about it. Any of you who play an instrument or write or sing with any passion will understand what I mean. Mine is piano, what's yours? If you just love to listen, that's okay too. But I hope that you listen with passion. See, this is really what I am looking for in a man--one who has passion. In the broadest sense of the word, that is--let's not get caught up in any romantic cliches, at least for the moment. Yeah, that's it, passion, good listening skills--because I have every intention of paying close attention to everything you are saying, and a healthy sense of humor--the ability to be goofy (at appropriate times of course) is essential, because this girl loves to LAUGH!

As for the rest, I think it would be more fun if we waited until you wrote back. In the meantime, here are a few more of my "likes" and "loves": Reading and learning new things is always a trip, especially about the gospel, and when you feel that whoosh! of inspiration hit, what a rush!, spending the day alone at the temple, tickle torturing my nieces and nephews, movies, movies and movies (I was a film major at the U of U), Wes Anderson's "Royal Tenenbaums", Tarkovsky, Kiarostami, Kurasawa (say that last 3X fast), Howard Hawks and screwball comedy, Frank Capra, Jimmy Stewart and the American everyman, great actors and smart, fast-talking dames, Gerard Depardieu, Daniel Auteuil, Jessica Lange, Barbara Stanwyck, the funny guys, Bill Murray, Steve Buscemi, Johnny Depp, PIRATES!, everything about New York, especially living there and eating the food and hanging out in Central Park at Bow Bridge or the ball fields, Chekhov, Tolstoy, Scriabin, Rachmaninov (all the freakin' Russians!),eccentrics and underdogs, ROCK-N-ROLL!, blues guitar, SRV and Jimi Hendrix, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Joan Jett and chicks that can rock, Everything But the Girl's Tracy Thorn, motorcycles and boots, summer dresses and high heels, a good cozy turtleneck in the winter, feeling pretty and being told so, being a girl, a woman AND a tomboy and never once wanting to do everything a man can--I like that you do it and I like watching you in your element: playing ball, working hard, tackling problems, ironing clothes (very sexy, that) etc. . . Wow, I like this groove I'm in, but I better go before I get too crazy . . . May we talk?
