I am currently serving as a proselyting mission in
the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission until Fall 2008. After
that, I plan on getting a Masters, but I have no
idea in what (I've considered Astronomy, Physics,
Engineering, Linguistics, and Archeology so
far).
I have all these things in my head, but I can't
seem to get them out (unless it's math). I'm
working on this. One thing I can do now is play
the guitar. What I'd love to do is be able to
create almost anything: a tube radio, a piano, an
electric motor....
I love to learn. About anything: music theory,
pre-1900 Middle Eastern history, underwater basket
weaving...
I love languages, and I love to play with words. I
love a good metaphor like a good tune from your
early teens. I want to learn an obscure
foreign/dead language and teach it to my
family.
I'm a big believer in sticking it to the man. If
given too many rules and limits, I will go out of
my way to break them. This is why I do not like
BYU.
I value blunt honesty, but not brutality. I'd
prefer "I'm not interested" rather than
"I'm busy" when I ask a girl on a
date.
In order not to worry about feeling awkward in a
situation, I'll make it even more so, and then
point out that I'm feeling awkward.
I love to play stereotypes. I'll pretend to be the
stuck up, ignorant American, saying the US is the
greatest nation because we went to the moon, can
wipe anyone off of the face of the planet, and
have better dentists.

Right now I am seriously interested in
linguistics. At present, I am doing a study on
gerunds and particles. I'm also listening to a lot
of Beatles and Led Zeppelin lately, and have been
able to figure out a few songs. I like to read
books when I get some time to do so. I've been
working on the New Jedi Order series off and on,
and absolutely can't wait for Harry Potter 7! I'm
becoming more intersted in India (wrote a 14 page
paper on the Hindi language for a linguistics
class, and I've fallen in love with their lime
pickle!).
