My Introduction: |
I have been buried in schoolwork finishing up my Masters' Degree in curriculum development and gifted education, but I'm finally officially graduated! I have spent the last six months in Cody, Wyoming, teaching and directing the Gifted and Talented program here. It's tough, but the time with the kids makes it worth it. I tend to be a perfectionist, and go out of the way to make things work for those around me. I love children, and in fact spent two years teaching 3rd grade in Arkansas with Teach for America after I graduated from BYU with a degree in Communications-that's what got me interested in education. I speak fluent Italian, and would love to return to Italy tomorrow if I could. The Church is important to me; I have never had a doubt as to the truthfulness of the Gospel. I love to laugh: my Dad taught me to appreciate a good joke and occasionally a lame one. My family and I are very close-I can spend an hour on the phone with my sister-she is my best friend. I have two very tall brothers whom I love very much and look up to in more ways than just physically. Warning: I have a cat! |
My Interests and Hobbies: |
I love to read, write, roller blade, and dance! I studied ballroom dancing at BYU. I love to sing, act, and I will do just about anything having to do with theatre. I like to swim, and ice skate when I can find a rink. I love to learn new things. Right now, I am working on Hindi and I hope to eventually visit India. Meeting new people and seeing new things is great fun. I recently went on a cruise with my family, and I am hooked - I hope to go on another one before too long. I enjoy being around animals and miss volunteering at the Dumb Friends League in Denver (that's the animal shelter there), but I keep busy with my students and my work. |
