My Introduction: |
My name is Norma Jo. I am 64 and graduated with a
degree in psychology in 2007. I have three
daughters and twelve grandchildren. I love them
all so much. They make my heart sing. My
beautiful daughters have been the greatest
accomplishment in my life. They have integrity,
character, and they are wonderful wives and
mothers. I learn so much from their wisdom.
Being regular church going members, has resulted
in good, stable children. I have had many
callings within the church, and I am now teaching
in Relief Society. After having earned my degree,
I am more secure with myself. I love learning new
information, especially about psychology, and I am
considering returning to school for my masters.
During the time I was married, my ex and I built a
trucking business from the ground up. It became
very successful. But after the divorce, I lost my
career. I had to start all over. It is OK
because I have learned so much about my self and
what one can accomplish through faith and
perseverance. I am glad Heavenly Father has given
me the opportunity to learn these life lesson, and
I hope to pass this information on to my
posterity. |
My Interests and Hobbies: |
I am interested in family history, and I spend all my extra time on that. I have some very interesting stories about some of our ancestors and the many struggles they had during their lifetimes. I have written about these incidents because I don't want to lose these stories. I love to draw and paint. In fact, I first begin to realize my talent in this field in Kindergarten. I want to take some art classes soon. I always could count on making A's in art and penmanship. Movies are one of my favorite past-times. Sci-fi is probably the most interesting to me. A good love story is always great. I love people and feel I always learn something valuable from every relationship. Sometimes I am a little shy when first meeting in a big social group, but all I need is a smile and I warm up immediately. Being a very social person, I enjoy people and events and love to be involved doing something creative or entertaining. I like to cook most of the time, but I don't want to be expected to cook every night. Sometimes I don't like following a recipe too much, and I like to improvise a lot. I guess I don't like a lot of structure in my life, and I am a pretty spontaneous person. That comes from my artistic, creative side. This picture was taken at Christmas time 2007 with my daughter, Angela, and my granddaughter, Jorie. |
