As for dating, I'm an old-fashioned guy. When I was a kid, my mother used to take me on "practice dates." She would give me money and then teach me to order the meal, pay for the movie, open doors, and pump the gas. My Dad also instructed me in the ways of chivalry. I'd like an opportunity to show you what my parents taught me. If you'd like that, drop a flirt and I'll take it from there.

I'm the second youngest of five children, raised near Los Angeles. My mother was an English professor at a local university, and my father worked on secret government laser projects. As a result, I became an engineer who knows how to communicate. (Yes, there is such a thing. :-) I received a Masters Degree in Computer Science from BYU with minor degrees in Physics, Math, and Japanese.

A year ago, I accepted a new job with a Japanese-owned company in SLC and moved out here. My company develops factory automation systems similar to what you saw in Monsters, Inc. with the closet doors. I develop software and represent my company's interests as a sort-of a techno-embassador to an international consortium of engineers.

I enjoy most things related to technology and lust for knowledge in everything nerdy. (Don't worry, I have a personality, too.) In my spare time, I like to play the piano, write, fix up the house, trick up the car, and exercise. I am particularly fond of swimming and challenge you to a game of Sharko Polo.
