This is the first time I've used the internet to
meet people, so I feel very daring! My children
have decided it's time for mom to 'get a life'.
It's true that being alone gets harder as time
goes by, so I've decided to take my childrens'
advice.
I am a widow of 15 years, having lost my husband
after 29 years of marriage. I have 6 children and
25 grandchildren, so Heavenly Father has been very
good to me. I have love enough to share with all
those I come in contact with, and my greatest joy
comes with sharing with others. I find that I
have been blessed with great empathy and the
ability to console and comfort those who hurt. I
am also very friendly!!
I tend to be organized and function best when I'm
moving toward a specific goal.
Of course, there must be an occasional burst of
impulsiveness just to make life interesting. I've
never lost my natural tendency to be silly
sometimes, and enjoy a good laugh.
I have children in: Portland, Or., Provo, Ut.,
Blackfoot, Id., (on the way to Mayo Clinic)
Minnesota, SanAntonio, Tx. so I tend to go back
and forth a lot at Christmas and during August for
family reunions. Also, for the birth of new
grandchildren or baptisms.
The Gospel and the Church mean everything to me
and I would like to find a friend and companion
that feels the same. I miss the joy of having and
being that 'other half' and best friend to share
life with.
Since writing this introduction I have moved to
San Antonio, Tx to be with my son's family during
his deployment to Iraq. I planned to return home
to Oregon, but found that I could receive some
much needed dental treatment through the military
so stayed for 3 yrs.
My son is now home with his family, so I have
moved to Provo, Utah, the place I've always wanted
to live. It's so wonderful to be here and feel
the spirit of love . I have a daughter here, and
am already meeting so many new friends. If you
would like to get acquainted, please send me a
message.

I love to go walking in the woods picking up
interesting bugs and plants. When my children were
growing up, I loved to climb trees, make forts or
discover little hide-outs. I still love these
things, although I'm not as good at climbing trees
as I used to be! I enjoy music, family
get-togethers, being outdoors, camping, reading,
traveling, meeting people, long talks about just
about anything, and all things spiritual. It's
fun to learn new things and hear different views
on things.
I have added one new interest: finding new friends
to fill the empty gap left by those left in
Oregon. Whether by media or in person, I would
love to hear from you. Please note that my
interest in hikes has been ammended to exclude
anywhere populated by CACTUS!
I have always loved gardening, sewing, crafts,
reading almost anything, and almost anything the
group has going on, as I'm a very social person.
I plan on changing my photo as soon as I can get
someone who knows how to do it for me.
