I love intelligence and humor above most other traits. I have 3 beautiful children and am currently "just looking" for a friend. I am a nurse and used to be very into camping/outdoors, but back injuries (minor, but sleeping on the ground is "iffy") make me more of an RV type person now. I love to travel and have lived in 5 states in the last 10 years. In the past I have lived in both the Philippines and American Samoa (loved them both!) I love to try new foods and want to see as much of the world as I can before I shrug off this mortal coil! I am/was (and always be) a "California" girl (although not currently). I don't want to live "somewhere"; I want to live "everywhere"!
I don't watch much TV but when I do, shows I do like include "Bones", "House", "Criminal Minds", "CSI", and "Burn Notice"; past favorites included Stargate and Farscape (Hint: A person's TV show preferences will tell A LOT about a person; yes, I'm a closet "Trekkie") I am currently attempting to pursue my Masters degree, but this is a slow pursuit.

Money is not important, but having needs and niceties met is. Being a single mom with no outside financial help has shown me this.
To me, personality and intelligence are the most important (Hint: intelligence and education are not the same), followed by honor and integrity. "Do the right thing for the right reason" is one of the most important things I ever learned from my mother.
My children are my best reason for every good thing I do including being active in the gospel; their salvation is my responsibility.

I am interested in seeing the world. I left the U.S. when I was 15 yrs old and discovered there is a whole world yet for me to discover. I moved to Utah when I was 17 and while it is a really nice place, there is still the rest of the world to see, love and learn about. I visit Utah periodically because most of my family has settled there. I have not traveled as much as I wanted, but continue to strive to see what's beyond the next horizon. I do have a distinct preference for warmer climates.
Second best to seeing the world is reading about it. I am an avid reader and will read about anything that is intriguing. I love to read about history, especially when it is made real (like seeing the actual place!) I am an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader (I guess because these are things you cannot see in our world).
I am a single mom and work hard to take care of my family. This leaves little time for other things, but that is okay; my children will only be small for a short time. I will enjoy them as much as I can now and try to fit everything else around that. Eventually (and probably too fast) I will have plenty of time to re-develop hobbies and interests.
