UPDATE: Just noticed my profile didn't save properly...so here we go again. I'm an easy-going woman who enjoys the intertwining of male and the female personalities. So when something's up, instead of heating up, I would rather stand back for a minute or two to see where the male perspective is taking the situation and see if maybe I can add to the momentum. I'm not the kind to throw temper tantrums, not high maintenance, and am the kind of woman nearly any man can feel at ease around. And you can feel proud to introduce me to your family.

Please do feel free to turn family pets loose on me to see if they bark or take an instant liking. Animals are good judges of character...if your pets don't like the new person in your life, maybe there's a reason...

Same idea with kids. I'm the eldest of seven, mother of three (grandmother of one) and evidently have an invisible magnet in my lap. Sit me on the floor in a room full of children, and they're all over me. Most of my church service has been in the Primary..the little ones seem to have an innate ability to pick out people who are kid-friendly.

Now THE question...don't want to lay TMI (too much information) on you...I have kept my covenants. There are rare, limited circumstances in which divorce is justified. My case is one of them. This isn't a case of growing apart and failure to nurture the marriage, each other. I am not a quitter..unfortunately, sometimes a person has to admit that the problem their spouse has is NOT going away, CANNOT be resolved through medication or counseling, and takes the spouse in a direction incompatible with marital responsibility and family life, and the spouse prefers their ahem, unique lifestyle to that of having a wife and family.

I'm not quite 5'7" but that's the tallest I could be, and for you fellas, that's usually important. Don't know why height is an issue. Never has been for me, and my former husband turned out to be a couple of inches shorter than I, something I didn't notice until he pointed it out some two or three years into the marriage, lol. If we're close enough to see eye to eye, that's good enough, and I can wear flats as counterpart for your thick-heeled boots.

Yes, I'm a bit on the heavy side but that's coming down now that I can enjoy the activities I like without feeling guilty going alone because "he" refuses to join me. I enjoy being physically active..dancing, swimming, ice skating, camping, all the things that the ex refused to do. And it's not a sloppy looking heavy, just full-figured.

If you are still reading, take the time to take a chance on me. Don't take chances with your future, especially if like me you have a child still at home...please do ask for and check references for anyone you meet in the online dating environment. For instance, I've been in town for 20 years and am well-known, and there are any number of people in two stakes and in the community who you can ask questions. And you are welcome to talk to my family, to the ex and his family etc and ask them *Email Blocked* free to talk to my bishop, too. Please be careful out there and have fun :-)

Cooking/baking together...the 23 year old makes a mean scratch pie crust, 12 year old likes to fry a burger now and then.

And of course, we go to church and the temple together...handy to have a son who has just turned age 12 so he can start coming too and help with baptisms for his own people. Sure did hate leaving him behind when he was still too young. Church and the temple, for us is a family thing.

Anything in good taste, don't spend much time reading fiction, but read a lot of U.S. and world history, biography, gardening, automotive repair and home improvement, things like that. One of my favorite books was Freakonomics, a fun romp through statistics.

Television:
Don't watch it. Really. If there's ever a law requiring people to name one prime time program on pain of death, I'm dead.

Games:
Not much for board or card games, would rather be outside. I do presently enjoy one online game, Second Life, because it's a fun free social network where you can dance like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers or John Travolta or Patrick Swayze or about anyone who is good at it, dress like a million bucks without spending a dime, build your dream home, create a stunning garden, ski for a while then teleport to the beach to windsurf, skydive on horseback while wearing scuba gear, travel the world and you aren't expected to kill something.
