My Introduction: |
Hi. I am currently employed as an executive secretary for the State of Utah, Dept.of Education. I am retired Army, where I was in the medical field as a surgical technologist. I had to give up my medical career of 22 years after developing a latex allergy. I am from Upstate New York originally.. I went to college there and left to join the Army in 1972. I retired from the Army after 20 years. I served in Korea and Germany as well as several assignments from West Point, NY to Colorado to Ft. Ord, CA. My dad and one sister still live in New York. I lost my mom a year ago on General Conference Sunday and I miss her terribly; but I know we will be together again. I am a single mom with a 24 year old daughter, Allison, who returned from serving a mission to Indiana a year ago. She graduated from Snow College and is currently working full time and going to school for photography. I love animals. I love sports, especially basketball and baseball. I am a huge Utah Jazz fan. I never married mainly because I never found the right guy. I came close a couple of times; I want a man who honors his priesthood and lives the gospel in every aspect of his life. It would be helpful if he were mechanically inclined and/or helpful around the house (routine repairs, etc.) |
My Interests and Hobbies: |
I love doing crafts, crocheting, sewing, and cake decorating. I like to cook and am always looking to try new recipes. I love camping and outdoor activities - sports such as basketball, baseball, swimming, waterskiing (it has been a few years since I did that)and snowmobiling. My dad worked for Chris Craft Boat when I was growing up and we spent all our summers on the lake. I like car racing; both my mom and dad raced when I was growing up. I like country music; but occasionally listen to various others. My favorites are Reba McIntyre, Faith Hill, George Strait and Colin Raye. I like oldies and can be found on any day in my craft room playing cd's and singing along while I work. I am not musically talented as far as singing or playing an instrument. I am not much into the arts except I do enjoy going to plays at Hale Theater now and then. Forever Plaid is one of my favorites. I love to travel and have lived in Germany and Korea. |
