I am from Nebraska and have also lived in New York
City and Denver, Colorado. I love the United
States and enjoy seeing all it has to offer. I am
a hopeful romantic. I'm looking for someone to
share my life with who treats his family with
love, respect, kindness and enjoys having fun in
life. I'm looking for someone who will talk things
through, continually build our relationship and
show our children what it is like to be in a
successful relationship/marriage.
I am no longer a member of this site. If you would
like to communicate with me add me to your friends
list.
Now on to a bit more about me....
I value honesty, integrity and honor. I am pretty
much a "what you see is what you get"
sort of person, and I don't enjoy playing mind
games or walking on egg shells around another
person.
I am very level headed and logical and use common
sense; however I also have a fun and creative side
that shows through when I'm working (I'm a graphic
designer) and when I'm with friends.
I love to cook and enjoy finding new recipes to
try at least once a week.
I love children. I have one son but I love my
nephew dearly and am great at connecting with
other children. I have been called the Pied
Piper.
I am also a true and loyal friend, at times almost
to a fault.
My perception of an ideal relationship:
You are also level-headed and logical and you
don't get bent out of shape easily. You take
things in stride. We are each others' mutual
admiration society; we talk just as glowingly
behind each others' backs as we do to each others'
faces. We give space when necessary and support
when needed. We both realize that when the initial
sparks fade, what we're left with in the end is a
special friendship that will last forever.
I can be myself around you without feeling judged.
Fights are rare, and when we do get into it, we
don't stop talking until we've reached some sort
of peace. We talk things out without raising our
voices.
I am looking for a man who has big dreams, one who
I can inspire to fulfill those dreams, and one who
will inspire me to fulfill mine. I hope most of
those dreams will be mutual. I am looking for
someone who is ambitious and who has character and
can inspire others.
For me laughter is essential.
I love surprises and am still a hopeless romantic.
I enjoy dinner by candlelight and taking walks in
the moonlight and on the beach (when I can get to
one!)

On the weekend, I like to spend family time with
my four-year-old son. After the end of a long
week, I like to spend Friday at home relaxing with
my family, watching movies, going out to eat,
going to the park or whatever sounds good at the
time. Sundays are, of course, reserved for church
and family.
I like to bike, hike, walk and swim. I’m working
at getting back in shape so I can start enjoying
more activities.
I have a couple of callings in my Ward. I have
prepared the bulletin every week for almost four
years and enjoy doing research for a cover every
week that relates to the talks to be given in
church that particular Sunday. I am also the
Sunday School Teacher for 12- and 13-year-olds.
I am a convert to the Church and became a member
in September 2000. I am still learning a lot about
the Church. I really like the lessons for Sunday
School since I probably learn more than the kids
since they’ve been in the Church all their
lives.
I love to travel, which is quite an adventure with
a four-year-old boy. In 2007, we took a trip to
visit family in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and to
attend the International Balloon Fiesta. This was
a great week! I was able to spend a lot of time
with my son and three-year-old nephew. The Balloon
Fiesta was great;I went up in a balloon in 2008
when we made another trip to New Mexico. This will
be the last year we'll be able to do that, since
my son starts school in 2009.
I am a big science fiction fan and a fan of both
Star Trek and Star Wars. I love to go to movies of
all types. Comedies are great because I love to
laugh.
I am an avid reader and especially enjoy Dean
Koontz, J.K. Rowling, Anne Rice, Madeleine
L'Engle, CS Lewis and JRR Tolkein (I have read the
latter two authors numerous times and have found
something new each time). I seem to have put
reading (with the exception of weekly church
materials) on hold while my son is still young,
unless a very exciting book comes my way. I spend
so much time with him that I find myself catching
up on other things after he goes to sleep at
night. I do like to read self-improvement books;
one of my favorite relationship books is "The
Five Love Languages."
