Well, what should I write here? Those of you in the Portland, Oregon area probably already know me (after 17 years of being single, I'm either a hopeless bachelor or simply hopeless). Anyway, I would describe myself as good-hearted and spunky, with an insatiable curiosity about everything and a love of cooking (and eating). I'm an insatiable reader, and read everything I can get my hands on.

I am currently in line to run a division of my company, and live in an apartment overrun with books. I love good conversations; if you enjoy talking, mail me. I'm a good friend, and believe that friendship is the first step to something lasting. Yes, I would love to marry again, but am in no hurry to do so. It will have to be just the right person. So, what would this person be like?

If you are kind, caring, and a devout member of the church, unafraid of ideas and love a good conversation, read good literature, love art (the galleries in downtown Portland and the Portland Art Museum are some of my favorite places to play), music, and food, we should at least get to know each other.

I love to read, listening to classical music as well as jazz, love to cook (I make a mean fetuccini alfredo), and spend my away-from-Portland time on a beach somewhere. I love to travel, also, although I haven't done quite as much of this as I would like to.

Because of arthritis, I'm not up to really long hikes or rigorous sports, although I do work out several times per week.

By the way, I love ballroom dancing, and would enjoy finding a good dance partner.
