My name is Becky and I'm a friend to all animals and most people. I'm quite proud to be an American. I support our military and our veterans. I am a die-hard Republican. I am a country girl and while I love to travel, I am not in any regard, a city person. I love the ocean and the mountains equally. I love my extended family and believe in building and keeping relationships with them. I am, as my sister-in-law says, a "mad" genealogist. I've always loved family history. What do I want? A farm or ranch where I can truly be myself, let my critters roam, and live to my heart's content. I majored in nursing and animal science in college. Somehow, I wound up a 911 Dispatcher and EMT, two other dream jobs. Importance of money? Well, I've never had a lot of it, so it isn't that important to me. Things that are important are relationships, doing my Church and volunteer work, and taking care of my family and critters. While I have been known to be quiet, I am usually cheerful and witty, assertive and sagacious. Those who know me best know that while I am generally easy to get along with, if something get's my dander up, I show my true colors of the Marine's daughter that I am.

I love and am pretty good at writing. I especially like writing poetry & short stories, avid reading (mostly non-fiction). While I don't have time to sit down and write a best selling novel, it is one of my goals. At which point, I want to purchase my great-grandfather's farm in Michigan and get it back in the family. Music? I play the piano and am the organist at Church. I am learning to play the violin, which is my very favorite instrument. I listen to George Strait and other REAL country music. I enjoy spending time with my pets, going for a walk in the cool of the evening, browsing cemeteries, shooting, etc. I don't believe there is such a thing as owning too many guns. (Unless you're one of those anti-government crazed militia man wanna-be's). I love flying and plan to finish my private pilot's license someday when I have the money (hence writing the best seller).

I think humor is the spice of life. You can't work in the career that I do without a good sense of humor. But, I don't believe in having fun at the expense of other beings. I am pretty forgiving, but I have zero tolerance for the abuse of animals or children, elderly and especially veterans, and infidelity.

I don't watch much TV because it takes up too much time that I could be outside or doing genealogy. But, I do like Star Trek Voyager reruns (never saw it while it was airing), Medium, Cold Case, forensic shows and Super Nanny. And, I can never grow tired of M*A*S*H* reruns. I love children and often am called on by friends and co-workers to babysit, which I never charge for because I have just as much fun as the kids do.

Restaurants? My favorites are Johnny Carino's for their to-die-for chicken Caesar salad, Applebee's for their shrimp and Cracker Barrel for their shrimp and their country fried steak

Movies? I watch very few movies because they take up too much of my time. I do like a good western or true story. I am not into violent or chick flicks.
