My Introduction:

I'm a friendly, out-going, happy person enjoying life and all it has to offer. I've been around the block a few times and have learned considerably from those experiences. As my patriarchal blessing says, "you have lived through many experiences in this life that have been for your own good and experience as you view it from this perspective of the gospel." After all, isn't this why we are all here? You can certainly say I have made it worthwhile! I have learned some fabulous lessons and have been very blessed to have done so. I am more grateful than you can ever imagine to be here to encounter all my Heavenly Father has in store for me. I live in northeast Houston 8 miles from the temple and I'm in Parkway ward and Klein stake. I moved here 4 years ago from Denver and before that lived in Arizona and Utah, with a few short stops in between. The church is extremely important to me and my testimony is the most important thing I have. It is everything to me. I am an easygoing person who enjoys doing most things and trying new experiences. Change in life is the way we grow most. I love to travel, spend time outdoors, cook, sew, read, write, go to the temple, spend time with my family, visit friends, be of service to others, and watch movies. I have been alone for 4 years and have 2 girls, Jennifer (30), Amanda (almost 24), and 2 boys, Christopher (almost 16), and Alexander (13). I share joint custody of my sons but they live primarily with their dad. I hope to settle down some day and find a strong priesthood holder who honors his priesthood more than anything else. I want to find my best friend in a mate and be sealed for time and eternity since I have never done this before. I hope to find someone to go on a mission with eventually, and I plan to write some books, do genealogy, and continue my education. Most of all I wish to be of service to those that need me very much.

My Interests and Hobbies:

I thought I would tell you just a bit about me before we ever meet so you will have some background. I am extremely creative, artsy and crafty. I am a superb seamstress and sew just about anything. I am an excellent cook but one thing I don’t do is bake pies. I never did the crust very well. I don’t bake much at all anymore. There just isn’t much need while living alone. I do have many hidden talents and I decorate and paint, wallpaper, refinish furniture and build things. I am very professional about many of the things I do and I do them exceptionally well. I am quite a handyman and had a garage full of expensive tools and used to love to do wood working and build things. I lost all my tools in the divorce 4 years ago and just don’t have time for those types of things any more but I loved to do it when I could. I am proud to say that I taught my self to do many things that most women could never do, and things many woman would never do. I used to be very competitive so when I set out to accomplish something I made sure I achieved it whenever possible. I did not give up. I was actually pretty crazy and I’m not sure why I tried so hard to measure up but it seemed like the thing to do at the time.

I have been grateful to age and be able to slow down with pushing myself so hard like I used to. It is a blessing to realize that we don’t have to succeed at everything just because we think we should. I told my young friend at work the other day that priorities change when you age and the things that were so important when we were young aren’t nearly so important now. I count that as a blessing. I think that aging has been good for me because I have grown and changed so much and I am a totally different person than I was 20 or 30 years ago. That is a great thing. I have made huge progress, I earned everything I got, and it all only came with age so that is a plus and a huge accomplishment! I will say that I am proud of the things I have done because I have done things many others would never have been able to do. I have become very strong and that is always something to fall back on.

I am a good writer and I love to write. It is a passion. I plan to write some books, even if I never get them published, I will still write them. I am writing my life story now and that keeps me very busy. You would be shocked to find how much time writing takes. It is extremely time consuming. At least I type well and fast and that helps much. I am having a great time with it. I wish I had more time to *Email Blocked* will be my legacy to my children, whether they come to appreciate it or not, I will still do it. I actually completely believe that it is a commandment of God for us to do this for each our own families. I think most people don’t realize that. I have been giving my parents a lot of trouble because they have not done this yet. My mom is 75 and my dad is 72. Mother is further along than dad. Dad just got a new computer hooked up to a dictation machine so he can speak it into the computer. He does not type.
